There a wide range of pubs across Cornwall many of them date back to the mining years and others were started in the many ports and harbours around the coast. For most villages the pub was the central point.

- The Racehorse Inn is believed to be over 300 years old. Originally built as a school for local children, it was purchased from The Diocese of Truro in 1964 to convert into a public house.
